Veggie-lover options in Frankfurt

As I may have mentioned before, Germany is not a Vegan/Vegetarian/Gluten-Intollerant person’s oasis. Still, on our trip to Frankfurt I was able to key in on a couple great options!

Vevay is up first – where we stopped for an early lunch. This spot is entirely vegan but they also have some GF options too. Unlike most menus I have seen so far, this one annotates the allergens for each meal so you can see what you can eat!

We each had a type of tea/lemonade to start and then Shai had the falafel burger (not GF) while I had raw “crepes” and a green juice. I immediately told the waitress I would need more food but she suggested I wait and see as both were dense and filling and low and behold she was right! After not having a green juice for a while, I probably should have started a bit more mild than the Detox  with kale salad, apple, dates, ginger, mango, spirulina…it was heavy on the kale and spirulina….and not so much on the mango or apple….

Shai didn’t love his burger but vegan places aren’t really his scene. There are a TON more items on the menu I would like to give a try so I think we will see this place again.

For dinner we ate at Langosch am Main, which as far as I can tell was a super cute trendy spot. (and per the sign, people who love to eat are always the best people…aka me, nbd)

It had a cute outside and inside area and the bathrooms were like walking into a disco! It was crazy !! Sorry no photo….but I did Snapchat it (did you see it? – kjk1103)

Our drinks were yummy and they were not shy on mint in the Mojito or the Mule. I know I said this was a post for vegetarian bites and I promise you they had some amazing Vegan and Veggie options all over the menu – to include an awesome sounding tapas plate but it was our first time in Frankfurt so we tried the Frankfurt tapas plate which had their special sauces and meats….and it was really good. It could have been its own meal (note for next time…)veggie-lover

For dinner I had a falafel burger on a gluten free bun with a side of super salty (just how I like them) sweet potato fries. Vegan, Gluten Free, and un-freaking-believably good. Seriously, I wish I could find a menu online (besides their FB post of it) for you guys but this spot is perfect for every type of diet. I would definitely stop by this spot again for any meal!

If you know of some great Vegan/Vegetarian/Gluten Free spots in Germany (or hell, even Europe) let me know in the comments!
