It’s almost Valentines Day so I have a couple more easy treats that you can make! These cookie sandwiches and rice krispie treats are easy and practically fool proof! Using a heart shaped cookie cutter makes them perfect for the holiday!
Sugar cookie sandwich with strawberry jam and icing drizzle!
I don’t have any special sugar cookie recipe, so you can either use your own, buy the mix, or buy the freezer dough! I used that heart cookie cutter for the dough and then put strawberry jam (not too much so it doesn’t ooze out!) in between the two cookies and a little red icing drizzle!
White chocolate & cherry rice krispie treats!
The rice krispie box has an easy to follow recipe on the box. All you need is 6 cups cereal, 4 cups marshmallows, and 3 Tbsp butter.
Melt the butter over low heat, then add the marhsmallows in, stirring until completely melted. Remove from heat and quickly add in all the cereal and mix!
All I did was add some white chocolate chips (maybe 1/2 a bag) and dried cherries in at the end!
I used my heart shaped cookie cutter to make them extra valentines-y! This is always such a perfect treat for everyone who is gluten free because you don’t have to substitute any ingredients for their “lesser, gluten-free” options! Another way to make these even more special would be to add a couple drops of red food coloring to the recipe when the marshmallows have melted, right before you add the cereal!
Enjoy!
