Summer Vibes in a Bodysuit + Kimono

Last year I dipped my toe into the kimono top trend, wearing one with a maxi dress and with jeans and a tee. I loved how light and flowy they were but I wasn’t sure if they would stick around. They are actually a really easy piece, its like a summer version of a cardigan, so it can keep your shoulders covered from the sun without overheating you. I recently paired one with a bodysuit and distressed for a sexy city vibe.

The best parts about a bodysuit is that you don’t have to worry about it coming untucked or doing weird stuff. I really like the clean line that it gives. I’m not gonna lie either, I did a dozen (or more) twirls in this kimono top because it felt like a super woman cape. It doesn’t make you any warmed and every time there was a breeze it got caught up in the kimono and felt amazing. These jeans have been my favorite purchase in a while, I’m obsessed with distressed. They are boyfriend cut so they are extra relaxed too, a nice break from skinny jeans to be honest. I can also hear my Grandma offering me money to buy jeans that aren’t destroyed haha (sorry not sorry)!

Normally french braids feel a bit juvenile to me but I pulled these to make them wider and looser and I was actually really surprised with how much I liked the look. kimono & bodysuit / tom rice photography / lovelaughexplore.comkimono & bodysuit / tom rice photography / lovelaughexplore.com35280300803_ec3d006f9e_okimono & bodysuit lovelaughexplore.com / tom rice photography
