For Veterans Day in Vegas, a lot of places off discounts or even open their doors for free. Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden & Dolphin Trap Habitat is one of those places. I really hate Zoos because they make me so sad and it is normally $22 which is outrageous but since it was free, I did decide to check it out with some friends…mostly just to see baby tigers.
From their site:
“Our newest ‘Ambassadors of Conservation’
play an important role in our never-ending quest to protect these animals,” said Roy. “It is imperative to continue our conservation efforts to save these magnificent tigers for future generations to enjoy and cherish.”
The SARMOTI Foundation is dedicated to protect, conserve and preserve endangered and threatened animals globally, with particular focus on the big cats: tigers, lions, cheetahs, panthers and leopards.
Lions are the only cats that are pack animals. It was cute seeing these guys playing but I really hated seeing them in such a small place
The dolphin habitat was the worst. These poor loving animals had hardly any room to play. It’s pretty disgusting. After seeing Blackfish, we won’t go to SeaWorld anymore but places like this are just as bad and need to be shut down.
I haven’t done much research into the good their foundation may really do but I definitely would not recommend people paying them to go visit…
