See you at the Lake

DSC_2234seefest

In German, “see” means lake, so this weekend we went to a SeeFest at Ombachsee ( I told you, they have non stop festivals here! ) It was about 2.5 miles around the lake with 4-5 different areas with stages for live bands surrounded by food vendors. There was a modern pop music stage, a rock stage (we heard some Ozzy while we sipped on wine), an 80s stage (the Germans LOVE 80s music), and a stage with more folky music. The food ranged from the traditional German food, flammkuchen (a flat bread they make super fast for you), grilled meats (Shai grabbed a giant skewer (like 2 feet) of barbecued pork), Asian, Mexican, Thai (I had curry), pretzels, ice cream, and lots of beer, wine, and cocktail vendors.

It was also the pups first time at a festival! Considering they spent the previous 48 hours getting sick all over our hotel room, they did really well. They aren’t as obedient as some of the German dogs, they were a bit distracted, but they were quiet and didn’t get into trouble so that was good.  Hopefully they will get better as we keep going to more fests with them.

They had different activities on the lake so we were able to rent a paddle boat for a bit and take the dogs out for only $4!
