Almost as soon as the Seahawks preseason schedule came out we bought tickets to see them in San Diego. Preseason games may not always be as exciting as regular season games but they also happen to be A LOT cheaper.
The Frog-X parachute team dropped down into the stadium before the game. It took me back to my old Academy games watching the Wings of Blue drop down.
I heard last year that the game was at noon and some fans even got heat stroke! I am so glad the game was at 5pm this year. Even so, it was pretty hot until the sun started to hide behind the stadium.
Luckily I had a refreshing bloody mary to keep me cool. Yes that is a meat straw…and I totally thought I would hate it but let me tell you, it really adds to the drink and makes it even better. It looks like a pain to make but it was cool. I didn’t eat it after I was finished drinking though, sorry.
We were in the 15th row about 40 yard line so I had a lot of fun taking pictures where you can actually see things!
I was pretty excited to see Lynch play in his first preseason game this year. Even if it was just a short time.
Hauschka kept waving and smiling for all of the kids in the front, it was really sweet. He had a pretty good game too…unfortunately we were on our way to the Taylor Swift concert when he made the game winning 60 yard field goal….but I was following the live tweets of it!!
We did see the 67 yard punt-return touchdown by Lockett! The stadium was so loud!
I think there were almost as many Seahawk fans there as Chargers! I have to say though, I have seen SO many games where my team has been the visiting team, and the Chargers fans were definitely some of the most respectful. No harassment, there were a ton of Chargers fans that were with Seahawks fans too, so everyone was pretty friendly. Where we were sitting, you would have never known you were in San Diego though!
Go Hawks!
