So here are some thoughts and observations on Germans/ germany so far.
One they are healthier and un healthier than Americans. Seriously, these people ride their bikes everywhere! There are more bikes than cars and they even have their own parts of roads (and if u walk one the bike side path they will yell at you and almost run you over ) so that’s kinda cool.
They also smoke. A lot. Everywhere. All the time. But not inside that I can tell thank goodness, just everywhere outside so I guess it’s not too bad unless yo are their lungs.
They don’t look helpful but they can be. A lot of times the women look like they want to cry or they are about to blow smoke out of their ears but if you ask for help they try to be helpful. The men have been helpful too, they don’t look as angry but they don’t smile either. I guess that’s ok, I fit in since I don’t normally smile for no reason either. The men also stare. I don’t normally notice American guys staring unless it’s obnoxiously obvious or someone points it out. These guys are all obnoxiously obvious or something because I sure notice a lot of them. I stare them down back until they look away or until I get bored of looking at them. Oh well, some things are the same no matter what part of the world. At least they always answer any questions I have about directions.
Shopping. Everything closes at 8 pm every day except restaurants. I’m never going to get to shop because we never even finish dinner until after 8. Like today our train won’t even get back till 9 pm.
