National Wear Red Day

In honor of National Wear Red Day today (February 5) I did a round up of red dresses worthy  of coveting. National Wear Red Day is the first Friday of February  in support of The Heart Truth— a national awareness campaign for women about heart disease sponsored by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.

Designed to warn women of their #1 health threat, The Heart Truth created and introduced the Red Dress as the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness in 2002 to deliver an urgent wakeup call to American women.

According to their campaign, the logo of a red dress came into being as a way to attract attention to the Heart Truth, and eliminate perceptions that heart disease is an issue only for men. The dress reminds women to focus on their “outer-selves,” as well as their “inner-selves,” especially heart health.

  1. Mod Cloth 2. Top Shop 3. Lovers + Friends 4. Jill Stuart 5. ASOS (cape dress)
    6. Urban Outfitters 7. ASOS (Drape V-neck)

Since it is too late to snag one of these to wear today, you can always order one in time for a Valentine’s date night (or any date night….or really, any night…period)!

Don’t forget to take care of yourself and your heart! <3

Xx
