Burgundy/Maroon is my favorite color for Fall. For some reason I am constantly drawn to it. When I saw this velvet skirt from Lauren Conrad’s Runway collection, I just knew I had to have it.
There are so many things I could pair with this skirt but I was drawn to one of my favorite Portofino shirts from Express. I paired it with nude sandals and my Kate Spade purse I bought at the Outlets last month but this skirt would also be perfect with a crop top or even a tight shirt with a leather jacket.
Velvet is a material some people stay away from because they feel like they don’t know what it goes with. The answer is everything. It is such a luxurious feeling material, there is no reason not to give it a try, especially this season!
I even did a special manicure just for the weekend. I love it against the gorgeous texture of the skirt!
