This past weekend it seriously cooled down, making it the first real weekend of boot and coat weather. After is stopped raining we ventured out to a village festival celebrating the 1125th anniversary of the village Winnweiler. It is so amazing how every weekend there are dozens of festivals or events that are happening and people are always at! The weather was a bit dreary feeling after the rain but we lucked out and the sun came out to remind us that it’s still just Fall….not Winter yet!
This red coat is one of my favorite mid-weight options and when I looked in the mirror after putting it all together, it felt a bit inspired by the uniforms of British soldiers. I must have had England on my mind after a trip there last week.
The button detailing on the white tunic has a military feel to me and the knee-high black boots (expect to see those a lot this year) and the bright color of the jacket (it has a detachable hood!) really pulled it together.
