Party time finger-foods

It’s playoff season and awards season which means lots of reasons to have friends over to eat, drink, and watch tv. Here are 2 really easy sides you can make in a pinch!

Almond stuffed bacon wrapped dates

These are so easy and ALWAYS a hit.
Set the oven to 425′
Insert 1 whole almond into each date (make as many or as few as you want!)
Wrap the date in bacon. I cut each slice of bacon into thirds so I could wrap three dates. You want to make sure it goes around just a little more than once, and then place them “open side” down so that as they bake, the bacon cooks onto itself to seal it in.
Bake for 15-20 minutes depending on how thick a cut of bacon used

So good!!!

The next dish is :
Watermelon and Feta skewers

Cut the feta into 1/4″ thick slices and then into squares.
Cut the watermelon into the same size squares, about 1″ thick
Drizzle with olive oil and honey
Thinly slice fresh mint and sprinkle on top
serve with toothpicks- and you’re done !!!

These are such easy and delicious snacks to make. In the 15 minutes the dates are cooking, you can whip up the watermelon dish! They are perfect to make together too because the cool refreshing watermelon balances the warm rich dates!

Enjoy!
