I seriously love eating at the SLS. It’s too bad they think they are Bellagio as opposed to what they actually are – a trendy spot that locals will go to but tourists don’t want to walk to.
This week we ate at Umami Burger with some friends. This may sound like an odd choice since I don’t even eat burgers, but the real reason I wanted to check it out was for ….the maple bacon french fries *swoon*
These delicious babies were sweet and gooey and savory and perfect and I almost ate someone else’s who didn’t finish theirs. The cinnamon sweet potato fries are also delicious. I can totally see myself coming back here for fries and a cocktail.
With a name like “Umami” you don’t really expect it to be a sports bar…but it is. and i loved the ceiling. Every table had its own tv!

I had the picked veggie plate and ahi poke with potato chips. The chips had nothing on the fries. The pickled veggies were good, but I was not expecting pickled fennel…and I am not a fan of fennel and its licorice flavor…
I can’t wait to check out the pizza place at SLS next!
