I’ll see you on Tender.

Nope. I didn’t misspell that! Nope. It’s not that “hook-up” app. Well…unless you mean hooking my stomach up with a good meal! (hehe corny, I know).

I just found out about this today and HAD to share it. It got me thinking about my other favorite apps I use so here are my Top Three Foodie Apps

Tender – Works just like its slutty cousin Tinder – Swipe left if the dish is unappealing, swipe right if your mouth starts watering. I’m hooked. I seriously hope I have the time one day to work through all my right-swipes and make some of these dishes. It is random (ish…I think) so it keeps throwing things at me I would never think to make otherwise.

For me, just seeing the picture is enough to get my creative juices flowing to make my own version of the picture…but for those of you who like to stick to the rules – the recipes for each picture are there too!! I seriously can’t stop swiping…

Epicurious – This app is great for when you KNOW what you want to make but just need a little help (aka recipe) along the way. So you can search for “chicken pasta” and get all sorts of amazing variations to make at home. On the other hand, they have categories on the homepage like “no-cook mains” “grilled mains” “lunches kids love” and the ol’ “I cook like a pro” (no big deal, eh?).

Click on any category and you have list after list of recipes (with pictures) that you can either view the recipe then, or add it to your recipe box.

If you are into meal planning for your family you can add the recipe ingredients from all the meals you find onto a shopping list to take to the store with you! How cool is that??

Yelp – Now, you are forgiven if you don’t have the 1st two apps…but if you don’t have or have not heard of YELP…I want to know what rock you have been living under! Seriously! Yelp is the most amazing food app ever for eating out.

I love the map feature that shows me everything and where it is, and then I go into the List view and I can click see the stars and read the reviews.

Yelp has led me down many fantastic food paths (I love getting their emails too) and when something is amazing (or stinks) I help out my friendly Yelpers and post my reviews!

What food apps are you in love with??
Happy Eating!
