It’s the New Year which means most people are trying to get back into their healthy routines that we tend to put aside for the holidays. It can be hard getting back into a routine but I seriously believe that when you feel like you look good at the gym, you are more likely to stay longer and get a better workout in. We always preach “you should feel good in your clothes” for our everyday looks but this motto should also apply to those clothes you only wear an hour a day (or even less) to the gym!
Some of my favorite pieces to wear to the gym are
– High-waisted yoga pants for leg day: I like when my workout pants cover more of my stomach so I’m not worrying about how it looks when I am working out. The high-rise pant also keeps everything covered so you can squat as low as you want.
– Open back shirt for back day: I like seeing my muscles work and we all know those muscles look biggest after a workout so it’s fun to see my back muscles do their thing when I am on the pull-up bar or rowing
– Fun colored tennis shoes every day: bright colors just make me feel happier and more energetic – both things essential to the gym!
