I have been itching to wear my new Tahari “Cape Jacket” ever since I laid eyes on it but I didn’t really have a reason to. I had originally planned to wear a longer coat with the Herve dress I wore for our anniversary but when I tried this on I just knew it was perfect!
I have seen the cape trend for a year now and at first I thought it was crazy but I have (obviously) really warmed up to it. I love seeing them on dresses, it just looks like your formal, socially acceptable superhero or something! I think this would also look great with a jean, v-neck tee, and heels. Honestly, I need more cape jackets to wear right now.
The jacket has a hook in the front but I really loved how it looked open. I seriously think that it elevated the look.
I’m not gonna lie. I felt like a princess in the jacket. When I was little I would wear blankets around my shoulders and walk around like a boss. I have to say, wearing this felt a lot like that, but just a little more grown up !
