My Great-Great Grandparents were from the Czech Republic so on our recent trip to Prague, I felt it would be fitting to wear my Great Grandmother’s fur coat.
The coat is thick and heavy and fantastically shows little wear at all on the outside after its 60 or more years. I love that the massive buttons are even covered in fabric. Coats these days tend to be more figure hugging and waist cinching but I really love the swinging shape of this coat – and it leaves a ton of room for as many layers as I could want!
I layered it over a mod romper with a white collar and layered it with gray tights. Tights are a great way to transition summer/spring pieces into the fall/winter so you can keep warm and still wear your favorite clothes. Later as it cooled more I wore a wide headband with a lace bow to keep my ears warm.
